Job title: Interim Chief Executive Officer (12-month contract)

Working Hours: Full time – (Alternatively 3,4 days per week may be available)

Salary: Attractive Remuneration package. Negotiable according to experience

Location: Q3 Academies Trust - Wilderness Lane, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 7SD

Due to the retirement of the present CEO, the Trustees of The Q3 Academies Trust are seeking to appoint an inspirational leader as an Interim Chief Executive Officer as they explore strategic options for its future. The Interim CEO will play a vital role in executing the strategy.

The Q3 Family currently has three Secondary Academies in the Trust, with over 3000 students Each Academy has its own Head of School and Local Governing Body. All the Academies are based in Sandwell Metropolitan Borough.

Applicants for the post will be able to evidence experience of operating at a senior/executive level within a Corporate Business or Educational environment. You will have had key strategic and operational leadership knowledge of the challenges and the functions of leading complex multi-stakeholder organisations (either in an educational setting or corporate/commercial organisation). Acting as Accounting officer, you will need to be able to demonstrate experience of sound financial management control and possess the skills to ensure compliance with all financial requirements and budgetary control.

You will have had direct operational and accountable experience of delivering key financial reports, analysis of operational performance actions and targets, and budgetary planning to board members in an effective, thorough and timely manner.

As a highly skilled and strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and motivation skills, you will act as positive and credible figurehead for the Trust and have the proven aptitude to engage successfully and sustainably direct, build, lead and further support and develop key relationships both within the Trust and externally.

As CEO you will exemplify the values and ethos of the Trust. You will have had the strategic leadership experience of multi stakeholder organisations to enable you to successfully lead and direct the Trust and its Academies, representing the vision of the Trust, to further develop effective collaboration and partnership between schools and the Trust; leading a further phased development strategy for the Trust.
