Dear Candidate,
Thank you for your interest in Manchester Islamic Educational Trust (MIET) as we recruit new
Headteachers for Manchester Islamic Grammar School for Girls
(MIGSG) and Kassim Darwish Grammar
School for Boys (KDGB).
Our Trust was established in 1991 and now has 3 schools, MIGSG, KDGB and Manchester Muslim
Preparatory School for primary aged children. We have remained committed to delivering a modern,
faith-based education that combines academic rigor with Islamic values. Each of our
school’s
follow the national curriculum while enriching it with an Islamic ethos, instilling the
principles
and practices of the Islamic faith into every aspect of student life.
Both MIGSG and KDGB are forward-thinking schools with a strong commitment to excellence, and for
both
we are looking for inspiring leaders who share our passion for creating a supportive, inclusive,
and
ambitious environment where both staff and pupils can thrive. We believe in nurturing every
child’s unique potential, fostering a love for learning and promoting values of respect,
integrity and curiosity - all within an Islamic environment. We have a vibrant, happy community
and
we pride ourselves on our strong relationships with families, local partners and the wider
community.
In both schools we are looking for someone who can take what is already excellent and adapt and
build
on this to meet the future demands of independent school families; who can win their trust and
support; who can energise and inspire an excellent team of colleagues and who will be relentless
in
ensuring that every pupil receives the very best education across the school. We are ambitious
for
our schools, and we are looking for Headteachers who share that ambition and will work closely
with
us to shape and lead these plans.
This will require someone with a proven track record of exceptional leadership in education and a
passion for continuous improvement, embracing new ideas and technologies to enhance teaching and
learning. You must have a clear vision for the future of the school, with the ability to
implement
strategic initiatives that deliver tangible results. Given our Islamic foundations, this role is
integral in inspiring young people to learn and practice Islam, making it essential for
candidates
to be practising sunni Muslims.
If you believe you are the person who can take either school forward, please contact Martin
Blair
at
Hays Leadership on 07736791138 or at martin.blair@hays.com for a private and
confidential
discussion
about the role or to arrange a visit to either school.
We look forward to receiving your application and learning more about how your leadership could
shape
the next chapter of our school’s success.
Yours faithfully,
Farroukh Zaheer
Chair of Board of Trustees
Manchester Islamic Educational Trust Limited
