Welcome

The 1 September 2021 witnessed the formation of the Our Lady of Magnificat Multi- Academy Company. This was the culmination of several years of work bringing together Our Lady of Lourdes and Holy Family multi-academies to form a larger multi-academy that will strengthen the provision of Catholic education in Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

Our ambition is to be the highest performing multi-academy in the country and the leading Catholic multi-academy in the development of future Catholic leaders. A new Multi Academy Company provides the opportunity to create new ways of working as people from across different schools with unique skills and a wide range of experiences come together to provide the highest quality of education for every child and young person we serve. We aim to provide a wide range of continuing professional development for staff, specific assignments and secondments, as well as attracting talented people to join the Company, especially as we look to welcome new schools into the Company during the academic year 2022-2023.

Our plans for the next three years seek to take what we have learnt from the extraordinary world-wide events of 2020/21 and use this to be even more creative and innovative in how we ensure the very best teaching and learning in all our academies. Our aspiration remains that what is seen today as pockets of best practice will in future come to be known as common practice across all our academies.

This Strategic Plan explains the direction we are taking over the next three years, continuing to broaden our thinking from ‘my’ one academy to ‘our’ many academies. We know that through working together, each academy benefits educationally from sharing the expertise we have internally throughout the Company. The strong skillset of our central HR, finance, ICT and sites & premises teams ensure that we protect the future of Catholic education in Worcestershire and Warwickshire and become the employer of choice within the region.

As CEO, we understand the huge responsibility placed upon us to ensure that every child and young person benefits from the work that we do across our Company. We feel both humbled and privileged to have been chosen to lead the Company and are dedicated to preserving and developing Catholic education in the areas served by our academies. Our Company is a dynamic entity, which will continue to grow and adapt to enhance the lives of those who are working and learning within it, responding to the needs of our community and guided by the Catholic principles upon which our academies and Company are founded. We very much look forward to working together with you to achieve what is set out within this plan.
