To support this The City Council are looking for dynamic professionals to join its procurement team responsible for supporting the delivery of contracts across the city. The Commercial Procurement Unit are a centralised procurement team responsible for contracting across Liverpool City Council and are at the heart of promoting Best Value and Benefits gained from Social Value for Liverpool and its Tax payers.
Not only would you be joining a team intent on delivering exciting new projects, you will also be joining an award winning service with awards from the Government Procurement awards in 2018 & 2019 and Public Finance awards in 2019 for delivering cutting edge procurement innovations and excellence within the field. We believe we win these awards through the investment with offer our people via new training, support with further CIPS qualifications and continuing to deliver on a track record of promoting our own people through their desired career pathway in the council. People who work at the council who have achieved a 100% attendance record in any leave year will be awarded two (pro rata) additional days' annual leave.

You can apply for between 1 and 4 weeks additional unpaid leave per year (pro rata if you don't work full time).

The Employee Volunteering Procedure allows our people to request paid leave of up to five days in any financial year to support charitable work in the community and develop their skills.
