The DDI Programme is a key strategic initiative approved by the University’s Executive Team (UET). Approval for the mobilisation phase of this programme was received, following an in-depth strategic analysis in June 2022. Key points from this strategy include:
- LBU is targeting becoming a truly digital, better connected and more efficient University which is centered around providing a seamless student experience. This needs to be underpinned by reliable and secure processes, technology and data.
- To support this future vision, the University must embrace the use of digital technology and automation, rationalise and consolidate existing tooling and applications and increase the security of the IT estate.
The University must make significant investment in its technology, data and digital infrastructure, as well as into the capabilities of its IT function. This investment and associated transformation should begin immediately.
The transformation will be delivered in phases, building capability throughout.
Since the strategy was approved, the programme has commenced mobilising which includes defining the programme governance, programme structure, key roles, prioritised projects to deliver, a high-level integrated plan and a business case.
This mobilisation work is running from August 2022 to December 2022, with a view of commencing core delivery of key Data, Digital and IT projects from January 2023 (the Foundation phase).
