Collaboration across The Langley Park Learning Trust

The Langley Park Learning Trust is committed to greater collaboration across our individual schools and recently held their first whole Trust CPD day where teachers across all schools were able to meet face to face and share ideas and good practice.

Following on from this successful day LPLT produces a monthly newsletter focussing on teaching and learning, giving staff the opportunity to share best practice, reflect upon and develop our pedagogy and celebrate the learning that is happening throughout out LPLT schools.

You can view the latest copies of our newsletter on the downloads section to the right of the page.

Exceptional CPD

LPGS believes that personalised professional development that empowers teachers and others, to take control of their own development, is the best way to enable staff to grow and be afforded the professional respect they deserve. In addition to the professional development programmes that run for beginner teachers, NQTs, aspiring middle leader and those already in leadership, all staff are given 30 hours of the directed time budget to pursue their own interests. This allows us to have a two week October half-term and essentially provides the time for the extra reading and training that most teachers undertake anyway. This year teachers have used this time to read!!! To attend the 3rd annual conference of the BAME teachers’ network at Brighton University on a Saturday, pursue Masters and NPQ qualifications.

In addition to this all staff have attended at least one other school during the course of the year to see how things are done beyond our own multi-academy trust. There is excellence in teaching everywhere and ensuring that we have the capacity to learn with others and share what we do is a critical part of us providing exceptional opportunities to our students whilst managing our own workload.
