Financial Benefits
Pension Scheme – Landmarc offers all employees an opportunity to join the company stakeholder pension scheme, where the company will contribute up to 8% of the employee’s salary so long as the employee matches or exceed this. Employees who do not join this scheme, if they met the criteria, will be auto enrolled to our similar stakeholder scheme and contribute 4% of the employee’s salary which the company will match.
Professional Fees – Reimbursement of professional fees will be granted once per year for professional fees that are associated with your position in the company,
Annual Salary Review – In consultation with the recognised Trade Unions, Landmarc review the salary position of the company and depending on affordability implement any changes, in April of each year.
Life Assurance - Every employee is insured for three times their annual salary, to help the loved ones that are left behind. Employees should make sure that their ‘Expression of Wish’ form is kept up to date on their personal file. It should also be noted that this cover ceases at age 75.
SmartGo - Landmarc has joined SmartGo, a social enterprise that provides access to a range of discounts and incentives to encourage sustainable travel for staff and their families. The package includes bus and train offers, cheaper car hire, discounts in cycle shops, and savings on hiking or running gear. Please speak to HR Coordinator or refer to the Sustainable Travel workplace talk for information on how to sign up.
Zenith Car Hire - Employees may hire a car or van within the UK via our partners Zenith at discounted rates. Age restrictions may apply, Collison Damage Waiver insurance is required for all bookings.
Cycle to Work Scheme - Landmarc have joined with Cycle2Work to provide a great employee benefit which offers the most cost-effective way to get new cycling equipment.
Reward Gateway – Reward Gateway is a digital savings platform that gives Landmarc employees access to a wide range of discounts and offers on hundreds of top brands and leading retailers across all main household spend categories. To set up an account email rewardgateway@landmarc.mod.uk with your personal email address which will act as a form of consent for the business to provide these details to Reward Gateway. Once your account has been created you will receive instructions from Reward Gateway about how to activate your account.
Wagestream - Employees can access up to 40% of their earned wages before payday, as well as the opportunity to save money directly from their pay.
Well Being
Holiday – Employees are entitled to 25 days pro rata during each year of employment plus public holidays.
Loyalty Days – Annual leave allowance will increase in recognition of your continued service as follows:
- On the anniversary of your fifth year of service - one extra day or hourly equivalent
- On the anniversary of your tenth year of service – one further extra day or hourly equivalent
Holiday Purchase - We operate a holiday purchase scheme, where eligible staff can purchase up to ten extra annual leave days, with a maximum annual leave allowance of up to 35 days (pro rata for part-time staff).
Discretionary Days – As most of our sites shut down between Christmas and New Year, 3 extra discretionary days are normally given in addition to annual leave allowances.
Long service awards – Upon 20 years’ service, employees will receive an additional week’s annual leave as a one off, a £250 voucher and an invitation to an awards ceremony.
Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) - Our EAP is provided by Health Assured and is a confidential 24 hour telephone support service for employees and their immediate family members.
Safety– The Safety, Health and Environmental Advisors provide help and information to service categories and individuals to enable all employees, contractors and visitors to Landmarc to enjoy a healthy and safe working environment. We aspire for all employees to receive a NEBOSHH Working Safely qualification delivered through our in-house Health and Safety team.
Employee Suggestion Scheme – ‘Bright Ideas’ – If you have a workable suggestion to improve the service that Landmarc provides or you can suggest how your work could be done more efficiently and productively, then put your idea forward and you might receive a financial reward.
Eye Test – If you are a user of a computer or other visual display unit (VDU) and Drive as part of your role, you may be eligible to request reimbursement towards your eyesight test and lenses (if required for VDU use or driving only).
Trade Unions – Landmarc recognises trades unions (Unite, Prospect and GMB) for collective bargaining; the unions also advise, support and represent their members in relation to individual matters. Each union appoints representatives. As a trade union member, if you wish you may authorise Landmarc in writing to deduct trades union subscriptions from your salary to be paid directly to the union concerned.
Personal and Professional Development
BenchMARC (PDR) – This is a structured meeting whereby you meet with your line manager annually and have an open and honest two way discussion about your performance and areas of improvement linked to our company values.
Employee Training and Development – Training requirements will be identified during your benchMARC meeting as per the induction process. Employees are eligible to apply to the company for financial support to undertake training that will lead to professional qualification.
Apprenticeship Scheme - As part of our career development pathway, Landmarc make use of our levy fund to offer apprenticeship opportunities to our veterans, as well as upskilling existing employees.
TLC (The Learning Centre) – Our E-Learning portal can help you gain access to personal development course, Workplace Talks, on the job training and much more.
Job Opportunities – Job vacancies are advertised in our internal vacancies bulletin, on site notice boards and are available on HRMS which is updated every Monday.
Study Leave – If you are undertaking a professional qualification and require time off for professional examinations, you may apply to your Regional Operations Manager or Departmental Manager at HQ, for a period of unpaid/paid leave.
Company Newsletter and ‘Between the Lines’ – These are distributed across the business to keep you up to date with changes that affect the company and communicate good news stories.
