Process

To apply please upload a copy of your CV and a covering letter using the “apply” button on each job. Your letter, which should be no longer than two pages, should explain both your motivation for applying and why you consider that you are the right person for the job. We would be delighted to discuss the role with you in advance of your application.

Following the closing date, applications will be forwarded to the ICO. Longlisted candidates will be selected for an initial interview with Hays and a smaller, shortlisted group of candidates will then be progressed to a final panel interview with the ICO.

Data protection

We will treat all your data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.

All documentation relating to a recruitment exercise will be kept for a period of one year for audit purposes and personal data of candidates will not be shared with anyone outside of the ICO. The following information will be retained:

• Your initial contact details, including your name and address;
• The application form and any supporting documentation; and,
• Information held electronically, including your contact details and the diversity monitoring form
