As a result of internal promotion, our brief was to source an external candidate for the post of Finance Director. The client had requested a search to be conducted with limited information released into the public domain. In consultation with the client, target lists of specific individuals and organisations were compiled, as well a comprehensive competency framework with which to benchmark screening and vetting of potential applicants.
Following intensive research we provided a long list of candidates that was subsequently reduced to the final shortlist following face-to-face meetings with all interested parties. The preferred two applicants were requested to undertake a series of psychometric and abstract reasoning tests and complete rigorous security, academic and employment checks which. The preferred applicant was invited to meet with Hays Executive to deliver the client’s offer and counsel on the next steps, including tendering resignation and exit strategy.
Given the limited reaction time, the client was delighted with the quality and timeliness of the shortlist and the efficiency of the entire recruiting process.
