Your new company

This client is an established and respected third-sector organisation based in the heart of Edinburgh City Centre. They are currently experiencing a period of growth and additional project awards have necessitated the expansion of their procurement team. This is a brand-new role with a high degree of autonomy and variety suitable for someone who enjoys working on a few projects at once and experiencing something different every day.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a hybrid working policy.

Your new role

This organisation divides its procurement team into four categories: Labs, Estates, Professional Services, and IS. This role is not tied to one specific category, instead you will be assisting on projects within all four categories where needed.

Other duties include:
  • Engaging with key stakeholders in all sections of the organisation to implement and oversee procurement policies and ensure best practice is being followed.
  • Manage KPIs and supplier performance
  • Work closely with all operational and strategic procurement teams and assist on projects where needed
  • Aid the production and implementation of annual strategic procurement plans for the whole organisation

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • MCIPS qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Extensive experience with public sector procurement regulations
  • Communication skills used when liaising with stakeholders, and delivering projects
  • Experience with complex projects and tenders within strategic procurement
  • Experience within a range of procurement categories
  • Right to work in the UK
