This is an exciting and challenging time to join the East Sussex CC Finance team. As we continue to emerge from the pandemic and look to the future, we have 4 available roles across different areas of Finance – and whether that is providing financial accounting services; working with departments in the Council as part of a team of finance business partners; or accounting for investments for the Pension Fund - we provide a varied, wide-ranging and supportive working environment.

We are currently procuring and implementing a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system – Oracle Fusion - we are therefore looking to maximise our investment in this, seeking technology-enabled solutions to work more efficiently and effectively. This will build on the technological advancement already achieved through hybrid working. We recognise its more than just the “tech” though and take staff wellbeing and individuals’ and teams’ development seriously, with a specific group within our finance community focusing on areas in which we can support our staff to become leaders and enable opportunities for further career progression of our staff.
