About us

Doncaster School for the Deaf is one of the oldest Deaf schools in the country. The school was established in 1829. The school provides education for Deaf pupils from 4 to 19 years and currently has 37 young people on roll.
The school is managed by Doncaster Deaf Trust.

The school residence is called Dickson House which is an outstanding Children’s home. There are currently 7 young people attending the school who are resident in the home on 38-week placements. The remaining pupils travel daily.

Doncaster Deaf Trust also manages Little Learners Day Nursery, Communication Specialist College Doncaster and Aspire to Be (Employability Services).
