What is Moulded Fibre?

Fibre is made from water and paper; most often cardboard, newspaper or a combination of both. When mixed, they form a slurry which is shaped, pressed and dried. It’s strength and durability, makes it an eco-friendly packaging alternative to single use-plastics. It’s entirely recyclable and compostable, which is why it’s being used in many industries across the world to make both products & packaging.

A key supplier to the NHS, our medical fibre consumables are designed to limit the risk of cross-infection in patient-treating facilities. Used in place of reusable metal or plastic consumables, each single-use container is disposed of in a macerator, along with its contents, ensuring each patient receives a clean container every time.

Manufactured to BRC Global Standard for food packaging, we offer a wide range of trays to safely store and transport a variety of produce types throughout the supply chain. Made from recycled paper, the strong moulded trays are designed to protect delicate produce whilst simultaneously absorbing moisture to reduce food waste. Each tray can be stacked to minimise shipping and storage space and can extend the life of produce by up to three days.

With products to safely ship all alcohol types in addition to transporting hot & cold drinks, we offer robust transport solutions for e-tailers, cafes & restaurants. We also offer a variety of moulded fibre solutions for commercial bakers, events, football grounds and much more, making our offering the largest in the UK.

We offer a wide range for products for effectively transporting paint, for protecting white goods in transit, and for the safe shipping of medical packs. Our range also covers protective corners for windows, photo frames & furniture, making it feasible to protect items from damage in a sustainable and cost-effective way.

Moulded fibre is a great material to use in the professional horticulture industry thanks to its biodegradable qualities and compostable nature. Flowers and plants can be sewn and sold in the same pot, removing the need for plastic pots. The plant pots & trays use a water-repellent wax coating which enables the fibre to stay strong, rigid and water-free for product life longevity. 100% compostable, we are one of few UK paper or moulded fibre manufacturers to hold seedling accreditation to the International Standard EN 13432.
