Your new role As the Deputy Head of Assets, you will collaborate with the Property Department, Heads of Service, and Directors to ensure the effective and efficient development and delivery of Council services that align with department and Council objectives.
You will look after the strategic leadership of the Property and Asset management team in the provision of estates planning and asset management.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all property issues within the Council are undertaken in a professional manner and comply with all statutory and professional guidelines.
Lead on the Corporate Asset Strategy and Estate Management for the Council which seeks to operate the Corporate Landlord function to ensure that assets are efficiently and effectively utilised and fit for purpose through the implementation of the corporate property and estate strategy and asset management implementation plan.
What you'll need to succeed You will ideally possess a professional membership (MRICS, RIBA, etc) and be able to detail working knowledge.
You will have thorough and up-to-date knowledge of all property aspects and the full property lifecycle.
A successful track record in another local authority or public sector organisation.
Experience of managing a small property team in a similar organisation.
