Opportunities with Crestwood School
View vacanciesWelcome
It is a privilege to become Headteacher at Crestwood School and Sixth Form from January 2023. The culture being built at Crestwood is clear to all.
At Crestwood school academic success is our number one priority. Whilst we recognise our duty to ensure pupils are developed into caring, well rounded and responsible citizens, we know that the best pastoral care often means ensuring the highest possible grades. This allows pupils to believe 'anything is possible'. Our expectations and standards are high. Pupils know they will be coming to school to be challenged and stretched in their learning.
Staff wellbeing and workload is taken seriously. We continually review our systems and processes to ensure they are as streamlined as possible. Nothing new is introduced without considering what can be taken away. Our mantra is that 'we never do the same job twice'.
We aim for your pupils to become resilient, confident and articulate young people that are prepared for the fast paced and exciting modern Britain we live in today. We want pupils to achieve ambitious goals in a supportive, positive and inclusive environment.
We have a vibrant curriculum with access to a wide range of opportunities that allows all students, regardless of their ability, to fulfil their potential. We want pupils to be inspired, to develop an enquiring mind and to have a love of learning.
It is important to us that students at Crestwood feel valued and know they can make a difference. An extensive extra-curricular programme alongside opportunities for leadership and personal development exposes students to experiences that will enrich their lives. Our aim is to find and nurture talent and for pupils to have memories of school that they will keep into adulthood.
We have excellent facilities. The new Science block, alongside our swimming pool, 4g sports pitches and state of the art ICT, means Crestwood has access to the very best facilities of any school in the area.
I am delighted that our Sixth Form continues to grow year on year. We offer a wide range of A-Level and BTEC qualifications and our excellent pastoral care continues into our post 16 provision. Our Sixth Form also benefits from the expertise and resources from across the Invictus Trust so students are well prepared for their next steps, whether this is university, an apprenticeship or the world of work.
I hope this gives you a flavour of what to expect from working at Crestwood school, but please come and visit us in person to find out more.
