Administrator (pre-vaccination)
 

Your new role

This administration role is a critical first-line customer service role in supporting the NHS Trust throughout the Covid-19 vaccination program. The role will entail welcoming people to the vaccination centres, checking their details and confirming their booking for the vaccination. You will be working as part of a team working shifts from either 7.30 am to 2.30 pm or 1.30 pm to 8.30 pm. Some centres will be open 7 days a week so you may be asked to work over the weekend.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to have the ability to work as part of a team, be professional, provide excellent customer service, be compassionate towards those entering the vaccination centres who may be nervous. You will be required to show empathy at all times assisting with patient queries on arrival to the centre.

 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • GCSE or equivalent in English (Grade D or above)
  • DBS (this will be provided)
  • Flexible, adaptable and excellent customer service skills are essential
  • Initial 16 week commitment
  • Shift pattern hours

Your new role

The role will entail dealing with people who have just received their Covid vaccination, checking their details and confirming the administration of the vaccine. You will be working as part of a team working shifts from either 7.30 am to 2.30 pm or 1.30 pm to 8.30 pm. Some centres will be open 7 days a week so you may be asked to work over the weekend.

Vaccination support assistant
 

Your new role

As a Vaccination support assistant working in immunisations, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering a safe and effective service for the mass delivery of vaccinations for the COVID-19 vaccine(s). In particular, the post holder will be responsible for:

  • Assisting a registered nurse with the pre-vaccination medical questionnaire (9 questions) and demonstrating the ability to identify issues that require escalation and the ability to escalate appropriately to a registered nurse.
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of informed consent and what to do if you have concerns about the individual’s ability to provide informed consent
  • Assisting with the set-up of the vaccination station (ensuring it is clean and safe).
  • Appropriate cleaning of the vaccination station and the post-vaccination observation area.
  • Monitor the patient for signs and symptoms of allergic reaction, anaphylaxis or other adverse effects, including undertaking of appropriate observations as deemed necessary.
  • Escalate concerns to the appropriate registered health care professionals and/or supervisor as a matter of urgency.

What you need to do now

As the Trust is a multi-site organisation you may be required to work at any of the Trust sites and you may need to change your normal place of work, either temporarily or on a permanent basis, as a result of development or reorganisation of Trust services.
