ICT at Canterbury

It’s a great time to join Canterbury City Council. They are going through the process of bringing their ICT services inhouse after 15 years of having them outsourced as a shared service.

This brings with it a fantastic opportunity to take a fresh look at their traditional infrastructure holistically, and to design a modern, secure, reliable and efficient service from the ground up.

You’ll join a new team whose job it is to deliver ongoing organisational transformation and innovation through the delivery of digital products, services and technologies.

On top of this, there are a number of key projects that you will play a significant role in:

Technical disaggregation

Supporting the strategic transformation of the infrastructure from its current state to its future state.

Accommodation move

Moving from the current building in Military Road, to three new offices in the City Centre.

Move from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365

Canterbury is currently a Google house but is committed to migrating to Microsoft 365 over the next year.

System rationalisation

Canterbury have invested in Salesforce to improve customer experience, internally and externally, and bring in organisational efficiencies through the use of streamlined technologies and processes.
