About Brookways

Brookways is a thriving, vibrant and ambitious school with a real ‘family’ feel. The curriculum is a blend of the academic along with social, emotional and communication elements. The school is built on positive relationships and children are encouraged to be the very best versions of themselves.

The focus is on ‘righting wrongs’ when things go wrong, helping children to learn about the impact of their words and actions, and the approach is always restorative. Every adult in the school knows that they are preparing the students to be independent adults, able to hold down jobs, sustain relationships and lead fulfilling lives, contributing positively to society.

There are two overarching ‘rules’ – to Work Hard and Be Kind. Everything the school wants the children to do (or not do!) comes under one of these headings so it is kept focused and straightforward.

Every student knows that school is for learning and that their learning is preparing them for adult life. The staff group is cohesive and very skilled. Attendance is excellent and the regular surveys of students, staff and parents all show extremely high levels of satisfaction.
