Salary £110,000 - £125,000 plus up to 15% prp
Aequus and its associated companies are wholly owned by Bath & North East Somerset (B&NES) Council and was set up to develop, deliver, own, and manage residential property for both the rental and homeowner’s market.
B&NES Council has prioritised the delivery of ‘the right homes in the right places’ through the adoption of its Corporate Plan identifying housing as one of the nine key priorities to support its one overarching purpose of Improving People’s Live.
Our latest three-year Business Plan sets out a range of objectives which include delivering quality, sustainable homes in our local communities whilst growing the annual financial returns to the Shareholder. This includes supporting the Council to deliver their ambitions for new council housing with an aspiration to deliver hundreds of new affordable homes by 2030.
Alongside B&NES, we have also developed partnerships with neighbouring local authorities, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset to support with them with their housing delivery plans including both open market and affordable homes.
As our current Executive Director of Operations is due to retire shortly and we’re keen to recruit someone who will bring the same values and passion to achieving our objectives. The role will be pivotal, building on our existing development pipeline, optimising commercial and affordable housing outputs, and ensuring successful delivery of housing projects.
You’ll be functioning at a strategic level that will give comfort to our Shareholder that you can deliver their aspirations for Aequus. Your background will be housing delivery and you’ll be experienced in managing teams and external contractors, bringing a commercial approach that matches your technical expertise. Whether from the public sector or private (especially if you interface with the public sector), it is possible for you to make an impact here.
