Sally Tidy – CEO

Sally Tidy

CEO

Sally is a Registered Nurse trained at St Thomas' Hospital London. Following her training she specialised in Intensive Care and Coronary Care before moving to work with the elderly. She was appointed Chief Executive Officer following the 2010 merger and restructuring, and has since overseen mergers with the Abbeyfield Guildford, Reading, North Downs Societies and Dorking Residential Care Homes.

Shelley Hartley – Chief Operating Officer

With over 35 years' experience in caring for the elderly, Shelley started as a Care Assistant in 1987. She progressed through all seniority levels to become Registered Manager and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in January 2021, overseeing daily operations across all homes.

James Wigmore – Chief Financial Officer

James Wigmore

Chief Financial Officer

James qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1985, beginning his career with Deloitte in London. He joined the Society in late 2022, bringing a wealth of experience from the small business sector. He lives in Farnham and enjoys walking and gardening.

Louise Arnold – Operations Manager

Louise Arnold

Operations Manager

Louise has 18 years in elderly care, joining as a Care Assistant in 2001. Having spent eight years as Registered Manager of both Wey Valley House and Ridgway Court, she now heads up the operational management of the Society's family of homes. Qualified to Diploma Level 5 in Health and Social Care.

Iain Looms – Marketing and PR Manager

Iain Looms

Marketing and PR Manager

Iain has spent over 20 years in the Farnham area launching and managing customer-facing businesses. A member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, he is a former PGA professional golfer and now coaches local youth rugby and football teams.

Louise Porter – Admin Manager

Louise Porter

Admin Manager

Louise joined in May 2025, overseeing administrative functions including recruitment. With extensive corporate experience as PA, EA and in Business Operations, she transitioned to the charity sector with passion. She volunteers widely and is a qualified Mental Health First Aider.

Toni Chandler – Training Manager

Toni Chandler

Training Manager

With over 18 years in elderly care, Toni joined in 2001 as a Night Care Assistant and rose to Deputy Manager before becoming Trainer in 2014. She holds NVQ2 through NVQ4, NVQ Assessors Award and multiple Train the Trainer qualifications.

Gemma Twist – Care Quality Manager

Gemma Twist

Care Quality Manager

Gemma joined in 2005 as a care assistant at Wey Valley House. She progressed to Senior Carer roles across multiple homes and was appointed Care Quality Coordinator in 2019. Qualified to NVQ Level 3 and 5, with extensive specialist care training.
