We have full time and part time roles available across a range of flexible shifts, within Production, Hygiene, Despatch, Technical and Engineering. All of our roles are secure, long term positions, with guaranteed hours.

About Us
You may not have heard of us, but there’s a good chance you’ve enjoyed our products. Avara Foods is one of the UK’s leading food businesses, supplying chicken and turkey to the country’s major supermarkets and well-known restaurants. We own and manage our entire supply chain, from farms to factory and all the way to the customer door – meaning we have careers that cover a whole range of functions.
We have major processing sites across England and Wales, and an agricultural network of over 350 farms, spanning from North Yorkshire to the South Coast and Wales. Our Enginners
Our Engineers are vital to keeping our operations running, whether this is within one of our key manufacturing sites, or at one of our agricultural bases. We process 4.5 million birds every week and are committed to investing in advanced automated technology to increase productivity. Our Engineers play a vital role is helping us to achieve this!
If you find yourself working within Engineering, you’ll be part of a tight knit team working within a fast-paced, high performing environment. We are looking for Engineers with fresh and innovative ways of thinking, who are keen to build their career and grow with us.
Engineering pathways at Avara:

Graduate Scheme: Embark on a 24-30 month programme, based at one of our sites and spend time across different departments. You’ll earn a competitive starting salary of £26,000 which will be reviewed every 6 months.

Apprenticeships: We offer intermediate and advanced apprenticeships ranging from Level 2 all the way through to Level 6. All our apprentices earn at least National Living Wage, regardless of your age, and your role will be permanent from day one! We’ll provide you with a structured development pathway with clear progression routes – this isn’t just an apprenticeship, it’s a career!

Degree Apprenticeships: These apprenticeships combine academic based learning with hands-on experience and training where you will have a full-time role at one of our operational sites. Salaries begin at £19,000, you’ll be free of student debt, and you will have gained a degree at the end of it!

Student Placement: If your University degree requires a year in industry or ‘placement year’, we offer 12-month placements, in which time you’ll become an important member of the site’s Engineering team. During your placement you’ll be involved in maintenance and continuous improvement, and contribute towards problem solving projects that require you to work in teams. You’ll also have a mentor who will support and challenge you to succeed!

Standard pathway: Join us to progress within your career if you already have the required qualifications and experience. Typical roles within our Engineering function include maintenance, multi-skilled, fabrication, principal and project engineers!
