WHAT’S IT LIKE TO WORK IN HOUSING?
If you ask anyone who works in housing about what it’s like to work here the majority of the answers will say definitely the people and how rewarding it is.

As an independent organisation, we occupy a unique position whereby we can combine our drivers of social purpose with delivering efficient business operations.

Don’t just take our word for it though, we are part of a wider campaign called ‘This is Housing’ where we showcase what the sector is really like and what career opportunities are available. Read what others say about working in the sector here: https://thisishousing.wales/read-stories/

Here’s what some of our colleagues say:

For me, there is also the huge benefit of knowing that the work I do every day contributes to that goal of building a better Wales and genuinely helping our customers. – Claire Marshall, Director of Finance

My job is not always easy and there have sometimes been difficult and upsetting situations to deal with, but the support I have always received from colleagues has been amazing. Being ‘more than just a landlord’ is often spoken about but that is absolutely true; customers remember you years after you have worked with them.Natalie Taylor, Community Housing Partner

I have now worked in the housing sector for more than 11 years and have definitely realised the importance that this sector brings. It is clear that we do more than just provide homes; it’s about building communities, where families feel safe and have opportunities to build a future for upcoming generations.Charles Sibanda, Finance Officer
