Your New Role

We currently seek a Learning Experience Manager, with a robust background in the design, strategy and analysis of delivering learning solutions. Leveraging a variety of delivery methods, you will be able to offer a blended approach towards learning strategy, and providing various options within this domain.

The Learning Experience Manager designs accessible, sustainable & compliant learning experiences that meet program-specific needs. This role works under minimal supervision to lead projects with a moderate degree of complexity, typically more than one deliverable, & a large scope. They typically collaborate closely with Director & Associate Director(s) of R&D GxP Learning Operations.

Key Learning Programs:
R&D GxP Learning is part of Process, Quality & Transformation in BioPharmaceuticals Clinical Operations. We are committed to delivering accessible, sustainable & compliant learning solutions that consider diverse needs of our R&D learners. Our strategy consists of 3 key learning programs:

  1. QMS GxP – protects our licence to operate by ensuring we are compliant with external regulations.
  2. Clinical Execution Excellence – enables effective end-to-end delivery of clinical trials.
  3. Clinical Innovation – leverages learning to bring awareness on the industry trends.
Leadership of the team includes, among others, Learning Program Leads & R&D GxP Learning Operations Director. The former oversees execution of their respective program strategy while the latter ensures alignment with business objectives & operational success across all 3 programs.

Learning Experience Design
  • Designs learning experiences – performs needs analysis, chooses the right methodologies, ideates, prototypes, develops, tests & delivers learning solutions.
  • Leverages various delivery methods to offer blended learning aligned with the 3E – Education, Experience, Exposure – learning strategy. It might include but not be limited to virtual interactions, audio, animation, simulations, storytelling, eLearning, social learning.
  • Researches & adopts accessibility & sustainability in learning experience design.
  • Ensures compliance of learning solutions with GxP regulations.
  • Identifies the subject matter expertise that is required to develop learning solutions, & involves SMEs or other external resources as appropriate.
  • Manages stakeholders – e.g. Business Process Owners, Business Learning Leads – to ensure developed solutions meet business needs in an impactful way.
  • Provides learning technology expertise & researches best deployment & assignment methods for developed solutions.
  • Analyzes evaluation data for learning solutions & identifies opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Manages project planning & execution to deliver learning solutions.
  • Drives engagement using various tactics, e.g. email campaigns & newsletters, social discussions, polls, branded merchandise.
  • Contributes to or leads segments of hybrid & onsite learning initiatives, e.g. functional onboarding, learning expo events, symposia.

Team Collaboration
  • Role models inclusion in the team & in the function.
  • Collaborates with team members to define best practices, maintain existing courseware, formulate appropriate solutions evaluation methods & ensure tracking in Learning Management System, as appropriate.
  • Shares learning experience knowledge with the team members and mentors/coaches others who would like to upskill in this area.

Essential Skills
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles & various learning methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, written and oral communications skills.
  • Innovative thinker who is not afraid to think outside the box.
  • Skilled at managing & using technology.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Strong collaborative, influencing and interpersonal skills – curious to understand business environment.
  • Project management.
  • Experience in pharmaceuticals or a related industry would also be desirable.
