About the Role
Are you an experienced and passionate Change Management Professional seeking an opportunity to support a world-leading clinical operations function?

The Biopharmaceuticals Clinical Operations Transformation Management Office (TMO) is a global department within AstraZeneca R&D. We are a collaborative and inclusive community where curious and passionate individuals are committed to enabling the discovery of new medicines.

A new programme has been approved in the R&D and Supply Chain organisations of AZ to support the AZ Bold ambition to introduce 20 new medicines to patients by 2030
The ambition is to implement a connected, optimised clinical planning processes & systems, with data at the core, to drive great cross enterprise decision making.

We are currently seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to support and lead on the planning, implementing and embedding of change for this programme. You will work with the guidance of the Change Director and in partnership with a change team.

Key Responsibilities
The role will assist the development and implementation of change management strategies for a transformation initiative to ensure alignment of change impact across the programme
  • Provide change management expertise and support for large scale transformation programmes
  • Apply change management processes and tools to support the preparing, managing and sustaining of the change lifecycle on transformation programmes
  • Manage and monitor Change across transformation programmes ensuring change is delivered in a coordinate way
  • Partner with project leaders and project managers on successful delivery of the initiative
  • Perform change impact assessments and analysis to support planning for change
  • Support and input to partner engagement, communications, and training plans to ensure project success
  • Input to and support plans for measuring adoption and success of change
  • Participates in AZ project management and change management communities of practice to share standard methodologies and findings
Essential criteria
  • Degree in business related field or scientific field
  • Expertise and a proven record of planning, managing and sustaining change in a project or transformation setting
  • Good understanding of the theory and process of Change Management
  • Demonstrate strong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives
  • Stakeholder management and coaching skills to support leaders and stakeholders in change delivery
  • Ability to analyse change impact assessments, and to provide insights and strategies based on analysis

Desirable criteria
  • Formal qualifications in change management, project management, and/or process improvement methodologies
  • Experience of working in a global organisation with complex/geographical context
  • Pharmaceutical R&D experience
