What Makes A Good Operator?
To succeed, you'll need to be hard working, reliable and a strong team player. You’ll relish responsibility and be accountable for high standards of work. You’ll have a great eye for detail, can quickly identify problems and enjoy helping fix them.
You won’t be scared by numbers, you’ll enjoy interrogating data to see patterns and trends to drive improvement and quality. You’ll embrace technology and get a buzz working with machinery and equipment.
Training is thorough, taking months, not days, to become fully competent and confident. With continuous development, we'll support you along the way helping you become the best you can be.
You'll be digitally savvy and open to learning using new technology such as Virtual Reality for training.
Global Packing Centre (GPC)
The Global Packing Centre is a state of the art packing facility where medicines are packed to be distributed to patients across the world.
As part of an operational team in the GPC you will contribute to the product journey from factory to patient. Alongside your colleagues you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic packing centre, ensuring a range of products are appropriately packaged, labelled and ready for the next stage of their journey.
Sterile Manufacturing
With investment of $280 million in a new sterile manufacturing facility, our large production team truly make an impact by manufacturing a life changing oncology medicine that isn’t made anywhere else in the world and makes a difference to over one million people’s lives.
The product is manufactured during a complex process, following defined steps requiring extremely level high levels of concentration and compliance. This is important work, a big responsibility, and requires a huge amount of personal discipline and focus. That’s why we feel so proud of what we do.
The Working Environment
The environment is highly regulated so you’ll need to be able to follow strict policies and procedures ensuring a high quality product is delivered to our patients. Work is structured and can be very demanding (you’ll be on your feet the majority of the day) yet exceptionally rewarding.
You'll need to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) all day and follow clear protocols to ensure high standards of safety and compliance. Makeup and jewellery for example is not permitted. We expect you to come to work safely, work safely and go home safely!
As product demand is high, Operators are required to work a variety of shifts which may include weekends, earlies, lates or nights (flexibility is essential).
