Support Worker needed who is experienced in working with survivors of sexual violence and complex needs

Your new company
A rewarding opportunity for one of Bristol's leading charities. They are growing and are looking for someone to join the team on a full time basis who can provide empowering and positive support, advocacy, signposting and crisis interventions to victims and survivors of sexual violence.

Your new role
You will provide support and advocacy to victims (18+) of rape and sexual abuse. You will empower victims to increase their options, increase their confidence and safety and enable them to recover from their experience. You will be working across Avon and Somerset and specialising in working with victims who have other complex needs - mostly mental health.

Key responsibilities include processing referrals; carrying out risk assessments and putting together support plans; carry out DASH and make referrals to MARAC where necessary; develop relationships with and signpost to other support providers; support victims and maintain good client records.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have experience in working with victims of sexual violence, rape or assault. You will also have experience in working within mental health and have a good understanding of the Criminal Justice Process. You will need good team working skills, to be empathetic and willing to learn.

As this role will be covering all of Avon & Somerset, you must have a clean UK driving license and your own vehicle.

What you'll get in return
This is a temporary contract with the opportunity for a long term placement, funding dependent. You will join a great team of supportive workers and great training offered. You will receive a Enhanced DBS if you do not already have one.
