Housing Worker needed for a supported housing organisation on a temporary contract in South Gloucestershire


Your new company
You will be working for an excellent supported housing organisation specialising in Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence in North Somerset. You will be working for an organisation who provides practical support, advice and advocacy to female or male survivors of domestic violence and their children. The organisation focuses on empowering survivors to increase their options, make positive choices and increase their confidence, safety and recovery.

Your new role
You will work across different services to to oversee the housing management in the accommodation based services - within domestic violence safe houses and in shared accommodation for women with complex needs. You will ensure the properties adhere to health and safety policies; oversee maintenance and repairs; collect rent and service charges; oversee voids and re-lets; work with support workers to provide the best level of support and work to empower service users.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience in working as a Housing Officer, Supported Housing Officer or as a Support Worker in Social Housing. You will have good communication skills; be able to work as part of a team; be able to build relationships with service users and have a good understanding of Health and Safety and Safeguarding.

You must have a full, current driving license and access to your own vehicle.
