We are seeking experienced team leaders for shift leader roles in Gloucester.

Your new company
Hays Social Care are working closely with a valued client to aid the recruitment for two shift leaders for one of their children's homes in Gloucester.
The 4 bed home is currently residence to 2 young males with emotional behavioural difficulties.

Your new role
As a shift leader you will assist the registered manager to manage an efficient team by undertaking supervisory responsibilities and taking a lead role in incident response. You will participate in the day-to-day running of the home, in accordance with the Organisation's objectives and guidelines.
You will ensure a safe living and working environment, following the provisions of the health and safety regulations, ensuring that the vehicle maintenance, diary, visitors book, home maintenance and all fire and safety procedures are followed.

Working in an open and transparent way, with both young people and staff, playing an active role in developing a safe, stimulating, enjoyable and creative environment that encourages young people to grow and develop to their full potential.
Ensuring that the young people do not feel stigmatised by 'being in care' by promoting and contributing to the home's ethos of a 'family environment', ensuring that as far as possible, the home is ran as 'normal' as any other nuclear family home and practices are not institutionalised.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you will need to have experience of working within a childrens residential setting, and hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care - Children & Young People.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive an excellent salary of £24,695 - £26,755 including sleep ins.
