Hays Social Care are working with an outstanding provider based in Gloucester to find an experienced Children’s Residential Manager to join them as they open two new OFSTED Registered Children’s Homes (11+ - 17 years).

Your new role

Our client is a leading specialist, dedicated to enabling vulnerable people to achieve their goals.

They currently provide a highly successful transitional support service for children with EBD and mild learning disabilities and are now in the early stages of setting up their first children’s residential homes.

The new services will be ran using Therapeutic Principles and have Attachment Theory as one of the key pillars of the service. We use the Secure Base model to underpin our approach, ethos and engagement strategies, and provide full training and support to all employees.

We are looking for an experienced registered manager to help create and maintain a non-institutionalised, person-centred home where the people we support are enabled to grow in all areas of their lives, to work towards emotional stability and to develop to their full potential.

You will ensure that high levels of emotional and physical care, appropriate activities, homely accommodation and the service of key-workers are planned, provided and applied in accordance with home’s Procedures and Strategies and in line with The Children's Homes Regulations 2015.

What you'll need to succeed

QCF level 5 Health and Social care.

At least 5 years’ experience working within Children's services

A history of "Good" or "Outstanding" track record with Ofsted

Strong Leadership and Management skills

Experience of working with young people with emotional & behavioural difficulties

Full Driving License, including Business Insurance
