Your new company

Hays Social Care are working with an outstanding provider based in Gloucester to find an experienced Children’s Residential Manager to assist in setting up three new services and assist with the referrals for these services.

Salary up to £50K – depending on experience.

Your new role

Our client is a leading specialist, dedicated to enabling vulnerable people to achieve their goals.

They currently provide a highly successful transitional support service for children with EBD and mild learning disabilities and are now in the early stages of setting up their first children’s residential homes.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Operations Manager to actively oversee these three new services in the Gloucestershire area. These will include two, two-bed children's homes and a home for mild learning disabilities, which you need to feel confident in taking through registration,

You will oversee the running of these services and will mentor and lead the managers to ensure positive outcomes throughout.

You will work closely with the Directors and manage the team to ensure safeguarding and legislation is fully upheld and embedded in our culture.

This is a 9am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday position, but some degree of flexibility will be expected.

What you'll need to succeed

At least 5 years’ experience in a Management role in Children's Residential Care

Proven track record with leading a team and achieving positive outcomes

Experience in an Operational role is desirable

Excellent knowledge of Ofsted and Legislation within Children's Services

QCF Level 5 children's (or equivalent)
