Care Support Worker for a specialist unit near Braintree to support adults with learning disabilities.


Your new company
Our client based near Braintree Essex have a reputation in the provision of high-quality specialist services to people with learning disabilities and are looking for a Care Support Worker.

Your new role
As a member of the support team you will assist and support people with learning difficulties who may also exhibit challenging behavior within older adults, mainly autism. You will ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting/assisting the Service Users, when required, with washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, and all other aspects of daily living. As this is a specialist unit and not home-care support you will work in partnership with the residents, their relatives, local community and local services in order to expand support network, thus promoting independence and ensuring that service users are fully included in the running of their home and are respected. As an experienced support worker, you will ensure that service is responsive and well led, endorsing an attitude of openness and transparency to ensure the well-being and safety of all.

What you'll need to succeed
This is a temporary job which could go permanent for a Care Support Worker who has proven experience in supporting adults with challenging behavior issues, mainly autism to ensure they are able to live independently as possible. Ideally you will have at least a QCF level 3 in adult Health & Social Care along with a genuine interest in working within a caring environment and understanding the needs of people with learning disabilities.

What you'll get in return
This temporary Support Workers job pays £10.00 per hour including holiday pay for on average a 33-hour week working at 7-hour shift. As explained this is a temporary job that may become permanent.
