Business Intelligence Partner needed £38-44k + bens, Dorset (Initially 12 mth FTC). Power BI skills preferred

Your new company
An interesting working environment within a complex and socially beneficial organisation. If you want your work to have a positive impact, please read on. Initially this is a 12 month fixed term contract but there is significant opportunity that this will be extended or made permanent, within this sizeable and high functioning BI team.

Your new role
In this role you will engage with stakeholders, representing the BI function and advising on use of Analytical tools to guide decision making. You will be methodical in your approach, have advanced analytical skills, and be highly collaborative. You will be able to get into the detail of how the organisation provides services to it's user base, and how BI can support the ongoing improvement of services, through improved understanding and insight, automation, efficiency improvements etc. You will lead local initiatives, and collaborate on regional and National projects.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be familiar with SQL and good database practices, but primary technical requirement is experience of Power BI and other visualisation tools (eg GIS Mapping etc) and the proven ability to use technical skills in a people focused environment, including liaising with and influencing non-technical stakeholders. You will be comfortable presenting your analysis, and the techniques you use to a non-BI audience, and assisting with training others on use of systems and tools. The role will be primarily based in Poole but will require limited travel to other sites across the South West. Some flexibility regarding home working etc, so if you are interested in working anywhere across the South West please apply for a more detailed discussion. SSIS / SSAS etc useful but this is not a BI Developer role, so focus is on Analysis and working with stakeholders to maximise the impact of the BI function.

What you'll get in return
Competitive salary and benefits, a stimulating working environment and opportunity to have a real impact within a socially beneficial organisation.
