Job Reference: 3796647

Support Workers needed on an ad-hoc basis to cover early, day, late & night shifts at projects across Bristol

Your new company
We support several housing associations and charities across Bristol that provide support and accommodation services to people who may be homeless, at risk of homelessness, suffer from mental health, substance abuse and domestic violence. We are expecting to see a peak in demand for ad-hoc support workers over the next few weeks as we move back towards normal staffing levels.

Your new role
In this role you may be working one on one with service users (with additional health and safety measures in place); responding to general queries; signposting to internal and external agencies and acting as a point of contact for tenants to provide practical and emotional support.

This role is challenging yet rewarding and someone who really wants to make a difference to people's lives is essential. It would suit someone who is looking to pick up some extra hours, gain more experience in supported housing or fit in work around work or study.

We can offer shifts during the week, and at weekends. We aim to book shifts in advance but you may sometimes be required at short notice.

What you'll need to succeed
As a Support Worker you will need experience within a previous similar role to be successful. As you will be working with vulnerable people, experience with these clients is essential. You will need to have a positive attitude, a calm manner and be willing to get stuck in! You will need to be reliable, flexible and able to make decisions quickly.

If you would like more information about the schemes we work with, or what the role involves, then please get in touch on the details below.
