Lancaster Academy is a community dedicated to creating the best possible future for our learners. Our specialist focus is on nurturing students to be fully ready for a career in the world of work and all the opportunities that has to offer. We believe in every student and aim for them to be the very best at what they do. That's why we're passionate about growing the aspirations of our young people and their families. We shape conversations about what's possible and for each individual we find the right route into the world of work - from apprenticeships after GCSEs, right through to a degree or post-graduate qualifications.

Lancaster Academy plays a unique role in the local area, attracting learners from across Leicester City and beyond, creating a vibrant and diverse school community. Many families arrive in Leicester City without a school place and our Academy supports the Local Authority with this challenge. As a result, it is not unusual across an academic year for up to 300 learners to arrive at our school outside of the normal admissions times. In addition, our school is also proud to serve our local community and increasingly we are becoming the school of choice for the students at primary schools in the immediate vicinity. All of this means that we have built our education offer to meet the demands, needs and challenges of the hugely mobile and diverse community that we serve.

The school is part of Learning without Limits Multi Academy Trust (LwLAT). The Trust was established in 2016 to serve the communities of Leicester City and the surrounding areas. Since then, LwLAT has grown to 5 schools in Leicester and Leicestershire with 3 additional affiliate schools in the Coventry area. These 8 schools cover both primary and secondary phases, working closely with one another and benefiting greatly from these relationships. LwLAT are dedicated to providing staff with a range of opportunities that develop their own skills which allow them to thrive in the education setting.
