Welcome
Killinghall Primary School is a very special place; it is a vibrant and dynamic school that has seen many changes in the last 10 years. We are a 3 form entry school with a Nursery for 3 year olds and also provision for 2 year olds.
The school has a history of recruiting ECT that go on to further their careers either within the school or beyond. However, the school always welcomes applications from teachers who are experienced.
We welcome applications from all types of people and as a school we are particularly good at catering for staff’s individual needs. The school has a staff with a wide variety of ethnic backgrounds and there is a good balance across the ages and genders.
We fully support our teachers to go on and progress their careers. Some of our teachers have been successful in securing jobs abroad. One member of staff took advantage of our links with China and after a visit to a Chinese school decided to re-locate and now lives in Shanghai. Another teacher now works in Malaysia and teachers have also left to work in Dubai and Saudi Arabia. An NQT that left to be a Foundation Stage Manager elsewhere returned to take up a post of Assistant Head here at Killinghall Primary School. Another teacher returned to take up an Assistant Head post for Inclusion.
One of our strengths at Killinghall Primary School is that our staff are extremely supportive of one another as well as the children. There is much laughter and everyone works equally hard and is equally valued. To work at Killinghall Primary School you need to be enthusiastic, dedicated and robust, life can be challenging but is also more rewarding because of this.
If you think that you would fit in to such an environment we would be pleased to show you around our beautiful school.
Our motto is ‘Quality Education for All’, could you provide that quality? If so please consider us as an ideal place to develop your potential.
Please see our website and brochure for further information about the school.
Yours sincerely
