The salary for this role is up to £36,310 per annum, dependent on experience and relevant qualifications.

Yes. This role operates on a hybrid model — typically 3 days on-site and 2 days remote, subject to business requirements.

A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred. APM or PRINCE2 certification is desirable but not essential.

Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic group. With a strong presence across the UK, Tetra Tech delivers innovative mechanical and electrical engineering solutions across sectors such as Healthcare, Education, Commercial, and Defence. Their Leicester office plays a key role in delivering high-impact projects both regionally and nationally.

Your new role
As an Electrical Engineer, you will contribute to the design and delivery of building services projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality electrical engineering solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting in the design of electrical systems from concept through to completion
  • Producing design calculations, specifications, and technical drawings
  • Supporting senior engineers with site surveys and construction stage duties
  • Collaborating with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines
  • Ensuring designs comply with current regulations and sustainability standards
  • Participating in project meetings and contributing to technical discussions
  • Developing your skills with support from senior engineers and mentors

What you'll need to succeed
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience working on building services projects within a consultancy or contractor environment
  • Familiarity with relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, Relux, and Amtech
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive approach to learning and problem-solving
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
