Engineering Recruitment Consultant job, Recruiter, Leeds | £22,500 – £26,500 & uncapped commission
Joining a specialism for Hays that has seen significant growth and investment in the past 18 months, we are looking for people to join the team who have an interest in recruitment within the Engineering sector. You would have at least 12 months experience in a recruitment role, and a desire to push your career forward. It may be that you feel there is a lack of career progression in your current role, or you’re seeking your next challenge in a forward-thinking and innovative business. Due to established performance and growth in our Engineering business, our Leeds office has two exciting opportunities for you to be part of a growing and ambitious team. Leeds is the flagship office in Yorkshire, a high performing office with an inclusive and welcoming culture and a forward thinking and engaged management team. Our Engineering specialism covers design engineering recruitment across the power sectors, manufacturing, and defence. We are doing exciting things with renewables, breaking into new sustainable markets and recruiting for process engineering in a range of sectors including pharma, aviation, nuclear, manufacturing to name a few. You will be a true expert in your field, advising businesses and candidates on recruitment and career strategy within your chosen sector.
Our Engineering business recruits for a range of positions and you could get involved in recruiting for: Design Engineering, Quality Engineering Maintenance Engineering, Engineering Trades, Process Engineering & Management or MEP Trades. Some key aspects of the role will include pro-actively generating leads and converting to sales, working closely with colleagues to identify and source sales leads, identifying opportunities that promote company approved products, presenting at external meetings representing the Hays brand, managing the penetration of your market according to an agreed development strategy and developing new and existing business using effective, appropriate and ethical sales methods. Ultimately, you will work to exceed targets set to generate and fill vacancies in your technical space and geographic remit.
What you’ll need to succeed
Ideally you will have Engineering recruitment experience from an agency environment, be confident in the development of new business, both targeting new clients and nurturing existing Hays relationships and able to display that you are adept at dealing with a diverse portfolio of clients. You will have the ability to build and solidify lasting relationships, deliver exceptional customer service, having a results-driven approach and a genuine passion for evolving your knowledge of Engineering and Recruitment. If experienced, you will likely have a proven track record of consultative selling, evidence of delivering consistent new business and growing existing, and be able to demonstrate effective selling and presentation techniques to influence the customer.
