Key Account Manager | Glasgow - Office and Home Working Pattern

Your new role
As a Key Account Manager for our Civils Construction team in Glasgow, you'll be utilising your extensive sales expertise to establish and develop client relationships, engage with hiring Directors and the experienced candidate pool around industry insights, pitch and present for contracts and drive overall engagement with Hays to supply candidates for positions. Due to the high-performance culture at Hays, you'll be required to meet monthly KPI's and targets and you'll receive the full support of your Director to ensure these are achieved. As your time will be spent engaging with organisations for the most part, this position will have the support of a Recruiter to help source and engage the right candidate pool, but some time should still be spent supporting the Recruiter in their role.

This new opportunity has been created to further develop Hays position in the Civil Construction sector, engaging with businesses to sell our ability to supply a diverse set of job roles including Construction Managers; Site Agents; Sub Agents; Site Engineers; Civil Quantity Surveyors & Civil Estimators.

The context behind the creation of this new position is the government's pledge to invest over £100bn in this market across the next year. The projects you will support will be varied but include roads, water, rail & power, so this is a huge opportunity for someone experienced in construction sales or recruitment specifically to expand their skill set and join an organisation who will offer progression and promotion opportunities in a client engagement and business development focused job.

What you'll need to succeed
You'll be a determined and tenacious individual who is driven by success. It is important that you can demonstrate that you are ambitious, sales driven and thrive in a corporate sales environment. You'll have excellent interpersonal skills to enable you to deal credibly with your clients and candidates and have a thirst for knowledge to develop your expertise in your specialist area. For this role, it is likely you'll have experience and knowledge of construction recruitment or sales.

The job comes with an attractive package of up to £60k OTE; inclusive of a basic salary; monthly allowance and bonus connected to achieving a financial budget, paid out in regular increments across the year.
