Hays Construction & Property are the market leaders in the UK & Ireland in Construction recruitment. We are investing in growing this business further and as a result we now have a unique opportunity for an established Recruitment or Sales professional within our Chelmsford construction team.

Your new role

As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing a portfolio of clients. This will include existing and historical clients, but there will also be a major focus on new client engagement. You will be proactive in developing relationships face to face and over the phone. You will have a flexible approach and be able to demonstrate a track record of quick wins through “tactical” sales and larger account wins through a “strategic” approach.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed you will need to have a successful track record in either a business development or recruitment role, and you will need to be persistent and resilient in your approach. You may not have worked in the Construction industry, but you will need the aptitude to break down and understand how organisations use their Contractor base to deliver on Programmes of work, and have the ability to articulate how Hays value proposition differentiates from our competitors.
