G6 Lean Practitioner - SC Cleared
What you'll need to succeed
My client is looking for a G6 Level Interim Lean Practitioner, supporting in a function and across a new department set up in the FY 2026. The aim of the department is to make ways of working leaner and more efficient and to support an organisation wide and cultural transformation in its ways of working. The requirement for a Lean Practitioner is time-bound and project-specific, suitable for an experienced Interim Contractor to support by applying Lean methodologies to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance service delivery.
Key Responsibilities - you will report to SCS1 Level and be responsible for the deliverables below:
Facilitate Lean workshops and process mapping sessions.
Create user journeys working closely with experts in digital and data space.
Identify inefficiencies and propose data-driven solutions.
Establish plans and clear project management of changes
Coach teams on Lean principles and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
Collaborate with programme leads to integrate Lean into transformation projects.
Monitor and report on improvement outcomes and metrics.
Ability to identify and analyse business needs, processes and systems to improve efficiency, effectiveness and profitability.
Essential Skills and Experience for the successful candidate:
Proven experience applying Lean or Six Sigma in a public sector or complex organisation.
Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to analyse data and translate insights into action.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (minimum); Black Belt desirable.
Experience of leading cross-functional teams.
Experience in Agile delivery environments.
