We also work with the Leicestershire Multi Agency Traveller Unit and local Gypsy and Traveller communities to help promote good relations and resolve any issues which may arise between the travelling community and the settled community.
Our Staff
Every year we ask our staff to complete a voluntary Equality Monitoring Questionnaire and then produce a report comparing the results with information relating to the community we serve.

Location
Harborough District Council is located at the heart of the attractive town centre of Market Harborough, with it’s diverse range of shops, cafes, restaurants, services and facilities. The District of Harborough, Market Harborough, Lutterworth and Broughton Astley, is perfectly positioned with excellent road links to major towns and cities across the Midlands and just a short walk from the offices is the train station with great rail links to Leicester, Nottingham, Derby and Sheffield, and only a one-hour direct train journey to London St Pancras.
Our location:
- The area is well served by direct rail links including from Leicester and London St Pancras together with easy access to Nottingham East Midlands Airport
- Market Harborough is easily accessible from the M1 and A14 and is easy to get to from the Leicester area, as well as Lutterworth, Northampton, Kettering and Corby and surrounding towns and villages
- The main council offices are also within walking distance of Market Harborough train station, which has excellent links with Leicester, Kettering and London
- Market Harborough is a picturesque market town, with a good range of high street stores, a selection of boutiques and individual retail outlets, cafés and restaurants
