Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I)

At the University of Chester we are committed to the promotion of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in all aspects of the University’s culture and in society as a whole. We aim to improve continually all aspects of approach to E,D&I in order to provide an inclusive workplace and a positive staff and student experience.

Our support for E,D&I is wide ranging and includes a number of support networks:

  • REACH (Race Equality and Cultural Heritage) Staff Group

We offer an exciting a series of events throughout the year to celebrate diversity and to embrace local and national campaigns and initiatives such as National Carers’ Week and Chester Pride, and we hold a Diversity Festival on an annual basis, running for between 2-3 weeks and typically hosting over 50 events designed to inform and inspire, to educate and entertain. The festival, which has been nominated for two national awards and is well respected throughout Cheshire and the north-west, attracts over 1000 staff, students and members of the public each year.
