DEFY IMAGINATION – Amgen Early Talent Commercial Programme - Rotational Placements – Marketing, Building Customer Connections/Commercial Excellence
Amgen is launching a bespoke two-year programme where successful applicants will have the opportunity to gain practical work experience across our commercial business. Supported by a mentor and placement managers you will have the opportunity to further develop and build your core commercial skills throughout the programme.
On completion of your initial on-boarding you will rotate through two placements covering Marketing, Building Customer Connections/Commercial Excellence. With regular reviews throughout, you will spend the final months of the two-year programme in a role aligned to the skills you have acquired and the needs of the business.
To apply for this programme Amgen are looking for candidates who are committed to making a difference to patients’ lives, key requirements are:
- Ideally a first/second class degree - any discipline welcome – we encourage diverse insights and experience!
- Tech savvy with a curiosity and passion on how digital interventions can enhance our patient journey and interactions with healthcare professionals
- Independent thinking
- A zest for solving complex problems and identifying inspired solutions
- The ability to work effectively outside of your ‘comfort zone’
- Effective team working and communication skills
You will build knowledge and gain experience of the following areas:
Marketing
Develop a working knowledge of marketing principles and methods through the application of these on assigned projects
Understand the patient journey and different stakeholder needs
Build, develop and implement marketing strategies and brand campaigns
Work cross functionally to monitor the impact of campaigns through a variety of data sources
Develop and manage content and materials over the complete product life cycle
Building Customer Connections
Form relationships with a wide customer base and grow your brand through impactful conversations, selling and influencing skills
Support research-based activities in our Value, Access & Policy team, inputting to the delivery of Policy Strategy, Gov Affairs/Advocacy
Cross functional projects designed to develop solutions for customers and the healthcare system in market access, sales, and patient programmes
Use detailed analysis to identify and evaluate opportunities to influence decision making across the commercial business
Develop and implement effective account plans, achieve account objectives
Build a working knowledge of the regulatory and compliance framework that underpins our business
Commercial Excellence
Through assigned projects develop working knowledge of how external insights and stakeholder behaviours influence commercial planning
Develop a working knowledge of business intelligence data and how to harness this to support commercial planning and analysis
Digital innovation opportunities and how to harness these to deliver positive outcomes
Prepare insights and analysis to support business decisions and specific project activity
