We are a charity that has been supporting older people and those living with disabilities or experiencing challenging times for over 30 years in Southampton and the wider region.
We are now seeking a new Head of Finance to join our senior management team. You will lead the organisation’s Finance team and work directly with the CEO, Heads of Department and operational managers across the organisation.
Via the four pillar organisations that form the SCiA Group (SCA Care, SCA Transport, Options Wellbeing Trust and Flat Spaces) we lead the way in providing community-based person-centred care, accessible transport and counselling services to customers from 18 to 100+.
Through SCA Care we deliver Homecare, Specialist Care, Extra Care and day-care services to a wide range of clients, helping them to live their best lives in the communities that matter to them.
Staying connected to friends and family when you can’t use regular public or private transport is a barrier that SCA Transport overcomes for passengers via our fleet of adapted mini-busses, ensuring no-one is left isolated for want of accessible community transport services.
Isolation can happen for anyone at any age however and so Options provides a range of professional and affordable one-to-one and group counselling and wellbeing services. From unhelpful coping behaviours and associated life issues such as Anxiety, Stress and Depression to Relationships, Trauma and Life-Changing events, Options supports customers both online and in person at our Therapy Hubs to overcome life’s challenges and realise their potential.
We also recognise that life is about more than the day to day and are proud of our award-winning fully accessible holiday let charity Flat Spaces, with it’s exciting plans for growth, where disability is never a barrier to friends and family coming together.
Through our various activities SCiA supports hundreds of people in need across our region every year, and understand that it’s our role to help people at whatever time of life to overcome their barriers and live their best lives possible.
